“In recognition of his lifelong achievements and vision in moving the music industry forward,” Paul McGuinness will receive the 2014 Billboard Industry Icon Award.
A ceremony will take place in Cannes on Feb. 2 to present the honor; past recipients include Sire Records founder/CEO Seymour Stein and the Beggars Group founder/chairman Martin Mills.
No word yet on whether U2 will attend the event.
