RUMORS: U2’S ALBUM & FRENCH CONCERT PLANS

I would suggest taking this with the proverbial grain of salt, but since it’s coming from a traditional media outlet, we’ll pass this rumor along.

An article from Nice-Matin, a French news outlet, mentions these three rumors:

U2’s new album will be out before the end of the year.

U2’s tour will start in March 2014. The first show in France will be at Paris Bercy and the next will be at the new Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice for the second show. The article might be suggesting that these are the first shows of the whole tour, but that’s not clear.

Adam Clayton will be married on September 15th (of this year).
The most questionable part of the report is about the two shows in France. Bercy is an indoor arena, while Allianz Riviera is a new outdoor stadium. It seems odd to think that U2 would play both types of venues, especially when previous reports have said the next tour will be only in arenas, but it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility.
