Tensions are high in the U2 camp these days, and it spills over to tonight’s show. At one point in the show, Larry has problems with his drum kit and Bono reacts angrily. As he charges at Larry, Bono knocks the drum kit over. Edge eventually grabs Bono and in a fit of rage, lets out his anger on Bono. This is the episode Bono refers to in 2005 at the Rock Hall inductions, when he said ‘Edge tried to break my nose.’ Also during the show, due to a technical hitch at the end of 11 O’clock Tick Tock, U2 abandon ending the show with The Ocean and close with I Will Follow instead. This show features the October Tour debut of A Day Without Me, and the first example of the combination of I Threw A Brick/A Day Without Me, a combination that becomes a regular feature of U2 concerts until 1985.
