Adam Clayton has married his girlfriend, Brazilian model Mariana Teixeira.
       

The couple had been expected to marry in France, but the ceremony was held at a Dublin registry office on Wednesday.

The 53-year-old proposed to Mariana at Carnival in Brazil earlier in 2013. They have dated for four years.

Adam from Malahide, in Dublin, was at one time engaged to
supermodel Naomi Campbell in 1994 but the relationship ended months
later.

The Edge and his wife Morleigh Steinberg attended and congratulated the couple after they took their vows.

It is understood the couple will be joined by more than 150 guests in France over the weekend.

The three-day wedding reception will start on Friday.
