Bono Talks to Letterman, Doesn’t Say Much About New Album

Bono sat down for a short chat Thursday night on The Late Show with David Letterman and the host didn’t disappoint anxious U2 fans — his second question asked Bono for a status report on what U2 is doing at the moment.

Unfortunately for the anxious, Bono pretty much avoided the question. He answered with some of his well-worn comments like “very good is the enemy of great” and “who needs a U2 album? There’s loads of them out there” and “we have to make a great U2 album” and so forth. In other words:
