Bono on the mend, will be ready for the tour opener

Ali Hewson has been active this week in raising awareness for both the poverty of women around the world and for Chernobyl Children International (CCI). While at the events she was asked how Bono, was doing after his bike spill back in November in New York City.

“He’s doing great, he really is. He’s got another six weeks left until the first date in May, so he’s very excited – he’ll be ready,” she stated continuing “Everyone’s looking forward to it and we’re glad that’s all behind us.” Bono took a nasty crash in November in Central Park that caused significant damage to his arm and shoulder that involved surgery to insert three plates and 18 screws, to repair his smashed arm. Bono and the band are in France rehearsing for the upcoming Innocence + Experience tour in May.
