Imagine my surprise when an old friend called me up the other day to congratulate me for my N.E. Pats. Keep in mind, this is a guy I haven’t spoken to in over 25 years. After some general pleasantries, we began to share things about ourselves and he asked if I had any major plans this summer. I informed him that I had a few trips planned, but the highlight was going to be able to see U2 three times in Boston. I could hear the disdain and smugness oozing out of the other end of the telephone line as he stated, “You’re going to see a group three times that only had one hit?” Being a long lost friend, I decided to allow him to live another day. However, it got me thinking about the phrase “One hit wonder” and thought of all the hits U2 have had with just one word in their title. How rocking a show would this be!
